Gentle Reader,
You may have wondered about our accomodations while here at the campus of Number 1 High School in Jin Yang, about 25 minutes from downtown Guiyang. So... here are some photos. We had no kitchen, as the meals were shared down in Clarence and Deanna's apt on the 4th floor. Although the air conditioner in our apt was broken, it was usually cool enough at night to require a comforter. We haven't watched television in over five weeks, which we consider much more of a gain than a loss. We had a washing machine out on the concrete balcony, which sometime required a little nudging to move from cycle to cycle. There are no dryers anywhere, although they had a very ingenious 2 line system rigged up on the balcony, all run by a pully. We never lacked for clean clothes! We also kept any area for recyclables near the door, which would be picked up twice each week... Our humble abode...
