More In and Around Guiyang

New Blog:  More In and Around Guiyang (backtracking)

Gentle Reader,

Have a few moments here before we go out exploring in Shanghai.  Want to share some more photos taken in and around Guiyang...

The little Chinese/English dictionary Scott has been carrying around had come in handy numerous times, especially at restaruants and stores.

Loved the scultpture of the people using their cells!  Right in front of cell phone row!

We also found our first Chinese Buffet in Guiyang a couple nights ago.  For only 12 yuan, which is about $2 USA, we were given a plate and a bowl.  We could then fill up on many fresh and steaming hot dishes.  No soggy veggies in this Chinese buffet. The rice barrel was gallons in size.  There was a vegetable dish cooked with peanut oil, which was new to us.  Come to find out, we could have gone back for a second helping, but we weren't sure the 12 yuan was for "all you can eat."  So, we settled for one delicious plate and were very content!

namaste,
