By the way, this is our tour guide George... He was occasionally having to answer his cell phone to deal with his upcoming tour engagements.
Well.... Part Three with George was a trip to a jewelry factory. This reminded us of a similar stop in Turkey, where we were placed in a situation where we were sort of expected to purchase something. Ah... but we held our own, oooooohhhhhhed and ahhhhhed appropriately, had a Chinese beer while browsing around, and generally saw some phenomenal pieces of unaffordable jewelry! Seeing the folks actually working on the delicate process of creating mountings, settings, etc... was quite a learning experience. They work with a great deal of jade at this factory, usually purchased from Burma.
